Chapter 14

1

To the chief Musician,18 [A Psalm] of David.
The fool hath said1 in his heart, [There is] no God. They are corrupt,52 they have done abominable52 works, [there is] none that doeth6 good.

2

The LORD looked down52 from heaven upon the children of men, to see2 if there were any that did understand,56 [and] seek6 God.

3

They are all gone aside,1 they are [all] together become filthy:8 [there is] none that doeth6 good, no, not one.

4

Have all the workers6 of iniquity no knowledge?1 who eat up6 my people [as] they eat1 bread, and call1 not upon the LORD.

5

There were they in great fear:1 for God [is] in the generation of the righteous.

6

Ye have shamed55 the counsel of the poor, because the LORD [is] his refuge.

7

Oh that4 the salvation of Israel [were come] out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back2 the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice,4 [and] Israel shall be glad.4
