Psalms 31 | King James Bible |
Chapter 32 | |
| [A Psalm] of David, Maschil. |
| Blessed [is] the man unto whom the LORD imputeth4 not iniquity, and in whose spirit [there is] no guile. |
| When I kept silence,52 my bones waxed old1 through my roaring all the day long. |
| For day and night thy hand was heavy4 upon me: my moisture is turned8 into the drought of summer. Selah. |
| I acknowledged55 my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid.14 I said,1 I will confess55 my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest1 the iniquity of my sin. Selah. |
| For this shall every one that is godly pray101 unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found:2 surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh55 unto him. |
| Thou [art] my hiding place; thou shalt preserve4 me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about25 with songs of deliverance. Selah. |
| I will instruct55 thee and teach55 thee in the way which thou shalt go:4 I will guide4 thee with mine eye. |
| Be ye not as the horse, [or] as the mule, [which] have no understanding:53 whose mouth must be held2 in with bit and bridle, lest they come near2 unto thee. |
| Many sorrows [shall be] to the wicked: but he that trusteth6 in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.25 |
| Be glad3 in the LORD, and rejoice,3 ye righteous: and shout for joy,54 all [ye that are] upright in heart. |
