Psalms 33 | King James Bible |
Chapter 34 | |
| [A Psalm] of David, when he changed15 his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away,17 and he departed. |
| My soul shall make her boast101 in the LORD: the humble shall hear4 [thereof], and be glad.4 |
| O magnify16 the LORD with me, and let us exalt34 his name together. |
| I sought1 the LORD, and he heard1 me, and delivered52 me from all my fears. |
| They looked52 unto him, and were lightened:1 and their faces were not ashamed.4 |
| This poor man cried,1 and the LORD heard1 [him], and saved52 him out of all his troubles. |
| The angel of the LORD encampeth6 round about them that fear him, and delivereth17 them. |
| O taste3 and see3 that the LORD [is] good: blessed [is] the man [that] trusteth4 in him. |
| O fear3 the LORD, ye his saints: for [there is] no want to them that fear him. |
| The young lions do lack,1 and suffer hunger:1 but they that seek6 the LORD shall not want4 any good [thing]. |
| Come,3 ye children, hearken3 unto me: I will teach17 you the fear of the LORD. |
| What man [is he that] desireth life, [and] loveth6 [many] days, that he may see2 good? |
| Keep3 thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking15 guile. |
| Depart3 from evil, and do3 good; seek16 peace, and pursue3 it. |
| The eyes of the LORD [are] upon the righteous, and his ears [are open] unto their cry. |
| The face of the LORD [is] against them that do6 evil, to cut off53 the remembrance of them from the earth. |
| [The righteous] cry,1 and the LORD heareth,1 and delivereth52 them out of all their troubles. |
| The LORD [is] nigh unto them that are of a broken12 heart; and saveth55 such as be of a contrite spirit. |
| Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth55 him out of them all. |
| |
| Evil shall slay34 the wicked: and they that hate6 the righteous shall be desolate.4 |
| The LORD redeemeth6 the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust6 in him shall be desolate.4 |
