Psalms 35 | King James Bible |
Chapter 36 | |
| To the chief Musician,18 [A Psalm] of David the servant of the LORD. |
| For he flattereth52 himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found2 to be hateful.2 |
| The words of his mouth [are] iniquity and deceit: he hath left off1 to be wise,53 [and] to do good.53 |
| He deviseth4 mischief upon his bed; he setteth101 himself in a way [that is] not good; he abhorreth4 not evil. |
| Thy mercy, O LORD, [is] in the heavens; [and] thy faithfulness [reacheth] unto the clouds. |
| Thy righteousness [is] like the great mountains; thy judgments [are] a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest55 man and beast. |
| How excellent [is] thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust4 under the shadow of thy wings. |
| They shall be abundantly satisfied4 with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink55 of the river of thy pleasures. |
| For with thee [is] the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see4 light. |
| O continue3 thy lovingkindness unto them that know6 thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. |
| Let not the foot of pride come4 against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove55 me. |
| There are the workers6 of iniquity fallen:1 they are cast down,27 and shall not be able1 to rise.2 |
