Chapter 47

To the chief Musician,¹⁸ A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
O clap³ your hands, all ye people; shout⁵⁴ unto God with the voice of triumph.

For the LORD most high [is] terrible;¹² [he is] a great King over all the earth.

He shall subdue⁵⁵ the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

He shall choose⁴ our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved.¹ Selah.

God is gone up¹ with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

Sing praises¹⁶ to God, sing praises:¹⁶ sing praises¹⁶ unto our King, sing praises.¹⁶

For God [is] the King of all the earth: sing ye praises¹⁶ with understanding.⁵⁶

God reigneth¹ over the heathen: God sitteth¹ upon the throne of his holiness.

The princes of the people are gathered⁸ together, [even] the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth [belong] unto God: he is greatly exalted.⁸
