Psalms 47 | King James Bible |
Chapter 48 | |
| A Song [and] Psalm for the sons of Korah. |
| Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, [is] mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King. |
| |
| For, lo, the kings were assembled,8 they passed by1 together. |
| They saw1 [it, and] so they marvelled;1 they were troubled,8 [and] hasted away.8 |
| Fear took hold upon them1 there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail.6 |
| |
| As we have heard,1 so have we seen1 in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish34 it for ever. Selah. |
| We have thought14 of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple. |
| According to thy name, O God, so [is] thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full1 of righteousness. |
| Let mount Zion rejoice,4 let the daughters of Judah be glad,4 because of thy judgments. |
| Walk about3 Zion, and go round about54 her: tell3 the towers thereof. |
| Mark3 ye well her bulwarks, consider16 her palaces; that ye may tell17 [it] to the generation following. |
| For this God [is] our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide17 [even] unto death. |
