The Book of Psalms

Chapter 61

1

To the chief Musician18 upon Neginah, [A Psalm] of David.
Hear3 my cry, O God; attend54 unto my prayer.

2

From the end of the earth will I cry4 unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed:2 lead55 me to the rock [that] is higher4 than I.

3

For thou hast been a shelter for me, [and] a strong tower from the enemy.6

4

I will abide4 in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust4 in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5

For thou, O God, hast heard1 my vows: thou hast given1 [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6

Thou wilt prolong55 3117 the king's life: [and] his years as many generations.

7

He shall abide4 before God for ever: O prepare16 mercy and truth, [which] may preserve4 him.

8

So will I sing praise17 unto thy name for ever, that I may daily 3117 perform15 my vows.
