Chapter 62

To the chief Musician,¹⁸ to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David.
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him [cometh] my salvation.

He only [is] my rock and my salvation; [he is] my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.¹¹

How long will ye imagine mischief²⁵ against a man? ye shall be slain²⁹ all of you: as a bowing⁷ wall [shall ye be, and as] a tottering⁷ fence.

They only consult¹ to cast [him] down⁵³ from his excellency: they delight⁴ in lies: they bless¹⁷ with their mouth, but they curse¹⁷ inwardly. Selah.

My soul, wait³ thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.

He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.¹¹

In God [is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God.

Trust³ in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out³ your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

Surely men of low degree [are] vanity, [and] men of high degree [are] a lie: to be laid² in the balance, they [are] altogether [lighter] than vanity.

Trust⁴ not in oppression, and become not vain⁴ in robbery: if riches increase,⁴ set⁴ not your heart [upon them].

God hath spoken¹⁴ once; twice have I heard¹ this; that power [belongeth] unto God.

Also unto thee, O Lord, [belongeth] mercy: for thou renderest¹⁷ to every man according to his work.
