Chapter 70

To the chief Musician,¹⁸ [A Psalm] of David, to bring to remembrance.
⁵³ [Make haste], O God, to deliver⁵³ me; make haste³ to help me, O LORD.

Let them be ashamed⁴ and confounded⁴ that seek¹⁸ after my soul: let them be turned¹¹ backward, and put to confusion,¹¹ that desire my hurt.

Let them be turned back⁴ for a reward of their shame that say,⁶ Aha, aha.

Let all those that seek¹⁸ thee rejoice⁴ and be glad⁴ in thee: and let such as love⁶ thy salvation say⁴ continually, Let God be magnified.⁴

But I [am] poor and needy: make haste³ unto me, O God: thou [art] my help and my deliverer;¹⁸ O LORD, make no tarrying.¹⁷
