Chapter 101

1

A Psalm of David.
I will sing4 of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.17

2

I will behave myself wisely55 in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come4 unto me? I will walk101 within my house with a perfect heart.

3

I will set4 no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate1 the work2 of them that turn aside; [it] shall not cleave4 to me.

4

A froward heart shall depart4 from me: I will not know4 a wicked [person].

5

Whoso privily slandereth18 3960 26 his neighbour, him will I cut off:55 him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.4

6

Mine eyes [shall be] upon the faithful12 of the land, that they may dwell2 with me: he that walketh6 in a perfect way, he shall serve17 me.

7

He that worketh6 deceit shall not dwell4 within my house: he that telleth6 lies shall not tarry11 in my sight.

8

I will early destroy55 all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off53 all wicked doers6 from the city of the LORD.
