Chapter 112

1

Praise16 ye the LORD. Blessed [is] the man [that] feareth1 the LORD, [that] delighteth1 greatly in his commandments.

2

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.29

3

Wealth and riches [shall be] in his house: and his righteousness endureth6 for ever.

4

Unto the upright there ariseth1 light in the darkness: [he is] gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5

A good man sheweth favour,6 and lendeth:56 he will guide46 his affairs with discretion.

6

Surely he shall not be moved11 for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7

He shall not be afraid4 of evil tidings: his heart is fixed,12 trusting7 in the LORD.

8

His heart [is] established,7 he shall not be afraid,4 until he see4 [his desire] upon his enemies.

9

He hath dispersed,14 he hath given1 to the poor; his righteousness endureth6 for ever; his horn shall be exalted4 with honour.

10

The wicked shall see4 [it], and be grieved;1 he shall gnash4 with his teeth, and melt away:8 the desire of the wicked shall perish.4
