The Book of Psalms

Chapter 120

1

A Song of degrees.
In my distress I cried1 unto the LORD, and he heard4 me.

2

Deliver54 my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, [and] from a deceitful tongue.

3

What shall be given4 unto thee? or what shall be done55 unto thee, thou false tongue?

4

Sharp6 arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

5

Woe is me, that I sojourn1 in Mesech, [that] I dwell1 in the tents of Kedar!

6

My soul hath long dwelt1 with him that hateth6 peace.

7

I [am for] peace: but when I speak,17 they [are] for war.
