Chapter 146

1

Praise16 ye the LORD. Praise16 the LORD, O my soul.

2

While I live will I praise17 the LORD: I will sing praises17 unto my God while I have any being.

3

Put not your trust4 in princes, [nor] in the son of man, in whom [there is] no help.

4

His breath goeth forth,4 he returneth4 to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.1

5

Happy [is he] that [hath] the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope [is] in the LORD his God:

6

Which made6 heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein [is]: which keepeth6 truth for ever:

7

Which executeth6 judgment for the oppressed:7 which giveth6 food to the hungry. The LORD looseth56 the prisoners:7

8

The LORD openeth6 [the eyes of] the blind: the LORD raiseth6 them that are bowed down:7 the LORD loveth6 the righteous:

9

The LORD preserveth6 the strangers; he relieveth41 the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.17

10

The LORD shall reign4 for ever, [even] thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise16 ye the LORD.
