Ezekiel 1 | King James Bible |
Chapter 2 | |
| And he said4 unto me, Son of man, stand3 upon thy feet, and I will speak17 unto thee. |
| And the spirit entered4 into me when he spake14 unto me, and set55 me upon my feet, that I heard4 him that spake102 unto me. |
| And he said4 unto me, Son of man, I send6 thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious6 nation that hath rebelled1 against me: they and their fathers have transgressed1 against me, [even] unto this very day. |
| For [they are] impudent 6440 children and stiffhearted. 3820 I do send6 thee unto them; and thou shalt say1 unto them, Thus saith1 the Lord GOD. |
| And they, whether they will hear,4 or whether they will forbear,4 (for they [are] a rebellious house,) yet shall know1 that there hath been a prophet among them. |
| And thou, son of man, be not afraid4 of them, neither be afraid4 of their words, though briers and thorns [be] with thee, and thou dost dwell6 among scorpions: be not afraid4 of their words, nor be dismayed11 at their looks, though they [be] a rebellious house. |
| And thou shalt speak14 my words unto them, whether they will hear,4 or whether they will forbear:4 for they [are] most rebellious. |
| But thou, son of man, hear3 what I say18 unto thee; Be4 not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open3 thy mouth, and eat3 that I give6 thee. |
| And when I looked,4 behold, an hand [was] sent7 unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book [was] therein; |
| And he spread4 it before me; and it [was] written7 within and without: and [there was] written7 therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. |
