Ezekiel 10 | King James Bible |
Chapter 11 | |
| Moreover the spirit lifted me up,4 and brought55 me unto the east gate of the LORD'S house, which looketh6 eastward: and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw4 Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people. |
| Then said4 he unto me, Son of man, these [are] the men that devise6 mischief, and give6 wicked counsel in this city: |
| Which say,6 [It is] not near; let us build2 houses: this [city is] the caldron, and we [be] the flesh. |
| Therefore prophesy10 against them, prophesy,10 O son of man. |
| And the Spirit of the LORD fell4 upon me, and said4 unto me, Speak;3 Thus saith1 the LORD; Thus have ye said,1 O house of Israel: for I know1 the things that come into your mind, [every one of] them. |
| Ye have multiplied52 your slain in this city, and ye have filled14 the streets thereof with the slain. |
| Therefore thus saith1 the Lord GOD; Your slain whom ye have laid1 in the midst of it, they [are] the flesh, and this [city is] the caldron: but I will bring you forth52 out of the midst of it. |
| Ye have feared1 the sword; and I will bring55 a sword upon you, saith7 the Lord GOD. |
| And I will bring you out52 of the midst thereof, and deliver1 you into the hands of strangers,5 and will execute1 judgments among you. |
| Ye shall fall4 by the sword; I will judge4 you in the border of Israel; and ye shall know1 that I [am] the LORD. |
| This [city] shall not be your caldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the midst thereof; [but] I will judge4 you in the border of Israel: |
| And ye shall know1 that I [am] the LORD: for ye have not walked1 in my statutes, neither executed1 my judgments, but have done1 after the manners of the heathen that [are] round about you. |
| And it came to pass, when I prophesied,9 that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died.1 Then fell I down4 upon my face, and cried4 with a loud voice, and said,4 Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make6 a full end of the remnant of Israel? |
| |
| Son of man, thy brethren, [even] thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, [are] they unto whom the inhabitants6 of Jerusalem have said,1 Get you far3 from the LORD: unto us is this land given8 in possession. |
| Therefore say,3 Thus saith1 the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off52 among the heathen, and although I have scattered52 them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.1 |
| Therefore say,3 Thus saith1 the Lord GOD; I will even gather14 you from the people, and assemble1 you out of the countries where ye have been scattered,8 and I will give1 you the land of Israel. |
| And they shall come1 thither, and they shall take away52 all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence. |
| And I will give1 them one heart, and I will put4 a new spirit within you; and I will take52 the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give1 them an heart of flesh: |
| That they may walk4 in my statutes, and keep4 mine ordinances, and do1 them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. |
| But [as for them] whose heart walketh6 after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense1 their way upon their own heads, saith7 the Lord GOD. |
| Then did the cherubims lift up4 their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel [was] over them above. |
| And the glory of the LORD went up4 from the midst of the city, and stood4 upon the mountain which [is] on the east side of the city. |
| Afterwards the spirit took me up,1 and brought55 me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen1 went up4 from me. |
| Then I spake17 unto them of the captivity all the things that the LORD had shewed52 me. |
