The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel

Chapter 25

1

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,2

2

Son of man, set3 thy face against the Ammonites, 5983 and prophesy10 against them;

3

And say1 unto the Ammonites, 5983 Hear3 the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith1 the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst,2 Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned;8 and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate;8 and against the house of Judah, when they went1 into captivity;

4

Behold, therefore I will deliver6 thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set14 their palaces in thee, and make1 their dwellings in thee: they shall eat4 thy fruit, and they shall drink4 thy milk.

5

And I will make1 Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites 5983 a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know1 that I [am] the LORD.

6

For thus saith1 the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped15 [thine] hands, and stamped2 with the feet, and rejoiced4 in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;

7

Behold, therefore I will stretch out1 mine hand upon thee, and will deliver1 thee for a spoil 897 to the heathen; and I will cut thee off52 from the people, and I will cause thee to perish52 out of the countries: I will destroy55 thee; and thou shalt know1 that I [am] the LORD.

8

Thus saith1 the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say,2 Behold, the house of Judah [is] like unto all the heathen;

9

Therefore, behold, I will open6 the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities [which are] on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim,

10

Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, 5983 and will give1 them in possession, that the Ammonites 5983 may not be remembered11 among the nations.

11

And I will execute4 judgments upon Moab; and they shall know1 that I [am] the LORD.

12

Thus saith1 the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt2 against the house of Judah by taking2 vengeance, and hath greatly2 offended,4 and revenged8 himself upon them;

13

Therefore thus saith1 the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out1 mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off52 man and beast from it; and I will make1 it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall4 by the sword.

14

And I will lay1 my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do1 in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know1 my vengeance, saith7 the Lord GOD.

15

Thus saith1 the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt2 by revenge, and have taken11 vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy [it] for the old hatred;

16

Therefore thus saith1 the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out6 mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off52 the Cherethims, and destroy52 the remnant of the sea coast.

17

And I will execute1 great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know1 that I [am] the LORD, when I shall lay2 my vengeance upon them.
