The Book of Zechariah

Chapter 3

1

And he shewed55 me Joshua the high priest standing6 before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing6 at his right hand to resist2 him.

2

And the LORD said4 unto Satan, The LORD rebuke4 thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen6 Jerusalem rebuke4 thee: [is] not this a brand plucked94 out of the fire?

3

Now Joshua was clothed7 with filthy garments, and stood6 before the angel.

4

And he answered4 and spake4 unto those that stood6 before him, saying,2 Take away54 the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said,4 Behold,3 I have caused thine iniquity to pass52 from thee, and I will clothe53 thee with change of raiment.

5

And I said,4 Let them set4 a fair mitre upon his head. So they set4 a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed55 him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.6

6

And the angel of the LORD protested55 unto Joshua, saying,2

7

Thus saith1 the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk4 in my ways, and if thou wilt keep4 my charge, then thou shalt also judge4 my house, and shalt also keep4 my courts, and I will give1 thee places to walk56 1980 among these that stand by.6

8

Hear3 now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit6 before thee: for they [are] men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth56 my servant the BRANCH.

9

For behold the stone that I have laid1 before Joshua; upon one stone [shall be] seven eyes: behold, I will engrave18 the graving thereof, saith7 the LORD of hosts, and I will remove1 the iniquity of that land in one day.

10

In that day, saith7 the LORD of hosts, shall ye call4 every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
