Psalms 20 | King James Bible |
Chapter 21 | |
| To the chief Musician,18 A Psalm of David. |
| Thou hast given1 him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden1 the request of his lips. Selah. |
| For thou preventest17 him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest4 a crown of pure gold on his head. |
| He asked1 life of thee, [and] thou gavest1 [it] him, [even] length of days for ever and ever. |
| His glory [is] great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid17 upon him. |
| For thou hast made4 him most blessed for ever: thou hast made17 him exceeding glad with thy countenance. |
| For the king trusteth6 in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.11 |
| Thine hand shall find out4 all thine enemies:6 thy right hand shall find out4 those that hate6 thee. |
| Thou shalt make4 them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up17 in his wrath, and the fire shall devour4 them. |
| Their fruit shalt thou destroy17 from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. |
| For they intended1 evil against thee: they imagined1 a mischievous device, [which] they are not able4 [to perform]. |
| Therefore shalt thou make4 them turn their back, [when] thou shalt make ready34 [thine arrows] upon thy strings against the face of them. |
| Be thou exalted,3 LORD, in thine own strength: [so] will we sing4 and praise17 thy power. |
